Barbara Brown joined Carlson Caspers in 2022 to lead the firm’s marketing and business development programs. Her focus is on successfully innovating and advancing the firm’s and our lawyer’s M&BD efforts, increasing value, retaining and attracting great clients, and growing our business.

Energized by lawyers, Barbara brings decades of management experience in law firms, including an AmLaw 100 firm. Over the years she has worked closely with hundreds of lawyers leading comprehensive business development and marketing programs and hundreds of client winning projects.

Barbara began her career as a litigation paralegal and managed hundreds of civil trials in state and federal courts nationwide, and later worked as a senior corporate paralegal, assisting with M&As and other transactions, with combined value in excess of $3 Billion.

Adding value, Barbara was a lead member of an award-winning DE&I Committee where she managed the law firm’s DE&I programs and worked to recruit, retain, and advance diverse lawyers in 13 offices across the U.S.  She has worked closely with many affinity organizations, including Leadership Counsel on Legal Diversity and Twin Cities Diversity in Practice.
